What are "investable assets" and "non-investable assets"?

  1. Investable and non-investable are not common financial terms, but you are obviously referring to liquid and non-liquid assets.  Liquid, or "investable" assets are those that you can invest, such as cash held in an account.  Non liquid, or "non-investable" assets are those that are worth something, but you cannot use them directly to buy something else, such as your car or house.


  2. I am just starting out in the world of wealth creation and management, and I realized that I really do have to learn about assets. What I've learned so far is that equity is one of my unleveraged assets. I know that my home increases in value as time goes by, but I never though I could actually use equity to help me acquire health. Now I would consider equity an investable asset.
