What are really good games for the nintendo ds?

I am picking out games to buy for my cousin for his birthday. Please tell me the names of the games and if you could why you like them. THANK YOU for all your help

Pokemon Diamon/Pearl

Mario Kart Ds

My favorites are:

-Pokemon Diamond/Pearl: Because it's just that awesome. Maybe wait for Platinum...

-Harvest Moon DS/Cute: DS standard is better for boys, Cute is better for girls. It's a game where you run a farm and take responsibility for stuff.

-WarioWare Touched! : The minigames are a ton of fun. It's good for short attention spans.

-Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time/Darkness: A cool RPG with an interesting spin on Pokemon. I recommend Darkness, personally, but that's just me. Time's just as good.

I would recommend AGAINST:

-The Settlers: It's so complicated that I couldn't even figure out how to work it.

-Cooking Mama games: They're fun to start out with, but they get beaten really easily and then there's nothing more to do.

It sort of depends on how old he is. I'm playing Pokemon Diamond right now, I never get sick of them, but there is a game where you conquer the world, I believe it's called Revolution, or along those lines. I'd say Pokemon, if he has played them in the past,  but if you are unsure, Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass is a very safe bet for almost anyone.

My brother picked up mario kart before it was really addicting I'm not kidding usually I have trouble enjoying games.

Advance wars Dual strike is a strategy game but very simple and not complicated It will only take like 2 minutes to learn controls it is very fun and you an team up online which is cool

MARIO KART DS, its a very simple driving game but very addictive (if you wanna get him hooked lol) it also has a wi-fi feature and thats simply amazing, fun and free! hope this helped.. check it out at:
