What are really good winter/ snow boots?

hi i'm moving to Rhode Island and i wanted to buy a good pair of winter/ snow that would last. I want them to be cute yet very durable. any suggestions? I was looking at Earth Birch in black but wasn't sure. Any suggestions of shoes that have lasted you during tough winters?

uggs are definetly not water proof, wearing them in the snow will totally  ruin them.

but they are very warm, you should wear them on cold dry days.

for wet days, wear a pair of those roxy or fun patterned rubber boots, a lot of ppl have them nowadays :)

UGGs. There great!! There made outof sheepskin and are really furry and soft on the inside and are cute with skinny jeans or swaet pants tucked in. You can get them at some sport stores and Nordstrom or online for about $150
