I HAVE READ ANSWERS & HEARD FROM SOME EGYPTIANS THAT LIFE IN EGYPT "MISERABLE" OR "TERRIBLE". DO YOU AGREE WITH WHAT THEY SAY? I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT THIS.

ALSO, PEOPLE WHO THINK LIKE THIS, WHAT DO THEY DO TO BETTER THEIR SITUATIONS OR DO THEY THINK THAT IT'S HOPELESS & THEY NEED TO JUST BEAR THEIR NEGATIVE SITUATION?

  1. as some one who has the choice"being not egyptian" so i think life is good there what ever stander ed of living you are capable of

all those i know are rich and they enjoy life they go to egypt and they enjoy it there

for its own pple i m not really sure

but i can see and feel how much they are stressed and incapable of free choices freedom to talk to leave country although i hear of so many rich pple i hear of poverty as well too little rich too many poor

the 1952 movement is consumed and digested so its back as in 1948 pple wants to fight but government provide out dated weapons the 0,5%of population is back to control the 99%of wealth

  2. Education: education systems provided by governmental schools is very low in its efficiency, graduated students from these schools are very weak in English. which affect their chances to get hired even after they get their university degree. and also the school atmosphere of these schools affects negatively their behavior and social attitude.

so people have to work hard to earn enough money to grantee their children a place in a respectable private school, which provide them with the right social context of a school, and to be educated with one or 2 foreign languages. (However these schools have some other negative effects) and this put a big financial load on the Egyptian family.

Health: the same thing goes for health. but i have to be honest that government health care can be considered good, and many can apply for professional syndicate health care programs. and some companies offers health insurance too.

Accommodation: in the last 3 years accommodation has become so high, due the increasing of building construction cost specially reinforcement iron rods (which its factory is owned by a famous business man who is also a parliament member!!!) and also due to lack of urban planning from the government side, in a way that made most of the area available for accommodation construction work are only designed for luxury residential compounds, so what is afforded to the middle class and even upper middle class has become so expensive to own.

the problem has another cause as the market is open for everyone, so when the Arabs come to Egypt and buy things they can afford for, the prices gets so high in a way that Egyptians can not afford. and this needs a governmental regulation to regulate this issue to control housing prices.

on the urban level: the government is not doing anything about the development of cities urban character, or the development of slum areas, or rural areas, and this has many negative effects on the social context of these places afterwards.

Job opportunities: we have to honest that there is a real increase in job hiring in the last 5 years, however these hiring involves a certain degree requirments, and "sometimes" some social aspects. however a lot is not satisfied with their jobs as their salaries (although it could be high) but not enough to grantee the savings they aim for in order to provide the right house, health care, educational system they aim for. also food consuming prices are soared so high in the last year. and sometimes even if they are earning good salaries enough, it affects on how much time they can enjoy with their family.

Social inner conflict: because all of the above factors, the society has become divided socially into a number of social classes un-officially.

and thats beside the religion effect too

Traffic: is very bad. we were rated by a group of Japanese traffic engineer "E" which is 10-15km/hour as an average speed. and which we are only one grade before "F" which is 0km/hour. this traffic problem has many reasons: ppl who doesn't follow the law. engineering mistakes in designing the streets network and streets turn which causes a lot of painful accidents. lack of urban planning so huge projects are built in neighborhood where streets are only 20 or 12 meters wide. also mixing residential use with business use in building blocks in a way that exceeds the capacity of the alloted parking spaces for this building. and no body want to do something about it

Losing trust in judicial system: after being not satisfied with a number of judgments issued by the justice system in Egypt in a number of cases, we started to loose trust in our system.

Losing trust in public media: whether it is the official government media, or even the "independent" media. they seem to be all biased or paid.

    The most important word: CORRUPTION

Undefined political future: if you asked anyone who is going to be the next president, no one knows a clear answer for that.

    --------------------------------------...

as a result of all of the above factors: we are treated so bad when you want to apply for a visa to any European or US country, althoug if you are an acadmic person. and lastly our prime minister issued a statement to ask these embasies to show some respect to people who apply for visa in them.
