  1. Robots are made by humans. So whatever the robot can do, humans can also. (but not all humans)!

  2. So far, I think the only thing they are better at is repetitive motion, doing the same thing in exactly the same manner repeatedly.

  3. They're better at working in harsh and dangerous environments.

They are better at accurately repeating critical operations.

    They don't become fatigued.

Some of them can lift quite a large amount of weight and handle it safely.

  4. in some ways yes, and in some ways no.

on main flaw of the human is its ability to think incorrectly, and to get personally involved. the robot will never make a mistake, and doesn't have any feelings.

one thing the human has that is key, is its judgement and its ability to collect knowledge. it can judge a situation, and asess it based on its best judgement. a robot doesn't have that. its just going to do what its programmed to do, no matter what the situation. and the robot only knows the information that the robot is fead. it can't lean from its mistakes, or its thoughts. it can't learn like humans can. humans would have to reprogram the robot.

now sure there is artificial intelligence and all, but i still don't think that can measure up to the human's intellect.

and no, robots won't take over the world.

  5. Robots are better than humans at repetitive tasks that require exact results each time (like assembly lines).

They are better than humans at activities in hostile or dangerous environments (the moon, Mars, bomb disarmament, etc.) where the conditions are too hazardous for humans.

  6. Not getting sidetracked ...

... what was the question again?  <grin>

  7. dancing like a robot.
