  1. Literally nothing that you can offer them

  2. I look for a good arm and good velocity. And a good number #2 pitch is a plus.

Also they like nice smooth mechanics, which is why Tim Lincecum wasnt highly drafted out of High School. Have you seen his delivery? Its crazy!

  3. They look for people who don't go into internet forums and write about a bunch of posts lying about their abilities.

Gee, in your other post you claim that somehow scouts (illegally) spoke to you. So you'd think you'd already know what they're looking for if they spoke to you.

FOLKS, PLEASE HIT REPORT ABUSE ON ALL THIS MORON'S POSTS. He is what we call a TROLL.

  4. arm strength. you cant teach that. mechanics would be #2. good mechanics equals less chance of hurting an arm.

  5. Scouts like pitchers who are tall and throw hard. The reason is that they think if you are not big you won't be abble to hold up for a long season. That is why guys like Pedro and Oswalt were drafted late. The three categories of a pitcher are velocity, location of pitches and movement. And scouts look for pitchers with all three qualities so a guy like Tom Glavine would not be drafted today because he can only do the latter two.
