What are second generation computers made of? ?

"Second generation" means it is constructed with used parts collected from many "first generation" computers that have died (a single hard drive goes out and someone buys a new computer because they don't know how to fix it thiemselves, etc) and a company pouts a new hard drive in it and sells it as a second generation computer.
