  1. See this article

"Why is Euthanasia Wrong from a Secular Viewpoint?" Brian Clowes.

It exists a controversy about euthanasia.

In Oregon a terminal patient have the wright to stop his or her suffering while in Belgium an old person who knows that have Alzheimer is assisted to comet suicide.

Some secular points of view on Suicide is positive when  persons are ill and the rest of their life will be suffering. Others are allways negative.

  2. I think many people see it as an embarrassment to the family and some people actually wish they knew the person better to try and help that one person.  I actually see it as someone in pain and they didn't have anyone to turn to which is extremely sad.  People need to pay more attention to others.

  3. Secular or society's? That's an odd distinction. Are you asking about America's society, or society in general?

Generally speaking, suicide is always seen as tragic, and many consider it selfish--I personally believe the idea that it's selfish and looked down upon is ignorant, and lacking of compassion, exactly the sort of behavior that leads people to commit such acts.

  4. some people say its selfish which honestly is stupid because i have been through depression and when you are at that point, you are in so much emotional pain many people just dont understand the extent of it and its sad that society isnt more aware of this
