they are like carts u use in shopping malls. but these are virtual. here u pick any item and u put in cart (virtually) and when u buy all items which are in cart (which u selected are kept in memory) are bought.

this prevents u from clicking on buy each time. or making online payments for each item separately.

you use them to carry the stuff you want to buy. on the internet it is the same thing. they are not required at the stores but online you have to put your stuff in them, theres no other way!
