Listening to my friends and reading lots about shrooms and thier crazy stories, I have become kind of interested in experiencing them myself. But already as a very deep person, I worry that experiences could turn for the worst. It would be great if I could just read different people's experiences and stories... so please share!!

I say this with utmost certainty... you are asking a question that cannot be adequately described in words.  It's all about experience and I've never known two people who had exactly the same experience at the same time.

What I mean is... any psychedelic experience is as different as the brains that are "feeling" it.

Also, it depends heavily on how much was taken.  The experience can range anywhere from a mild "body buzz" (that is not unlike some other substances effects) to an experience very strong visual hallucinations.  The strong hallucinations are along the lines of seeing things move that are not moving, walls the "drip" (for lack of a better explanation), things like grass or carpet can "wave" back and forth... some pretty weird and hard to describe things.

My personal favorite... when I was in college took a bunch... walked down to the park... laid down and looked up at stars... and they were spinning and blurring together.  The best description I can give you is how the stars are depicted in Van Gogh's "Starry Night" as large colored swirls in the sky.  It was beautiful and I stayed for a long time.  By way of comparison ... I've done them at large music festivals too.  Walking around seeing people's faces (which in my mind are horribly distorted) is frightening at first and I've seen some people really freak out (which as you might imagine causes quite a scene).

Bottom line... if you are a person who can maintain control no matter what happens (or have simply experienced many different substances) then you are probably safe to try them and enjoy them.  If you are a person that is easily rattled and has a hard time keeping composure.. well then you probably won't enjoy them at all so you may as well not waste the funds.

  3. Have you tried weed? Your experiences with mushrooms can be judged by your experiences with other drugs. If you experience intense, uncontrollable highs with other drugs like pot or ecstacy, your high on mushrooms will be much more intense. I'm the type of guy that can take 1 hit off a joint and be as high as a kite, and when I tried mushrooms..... i was gone.

If your going to do it, start with a small dose, and have 1 person in your group sober.

  4. Shrooms can be an amazing emotional and or physical experience. There are 3 reasons why people have bad trips.  1: they forget they are on shrooms and freak out.  2: They try to fight the trip.  3: they are emotionally unprepared(nervous, angry, upset about something).  As long as you are prepared u will be fine.  You can learn a lot about yourself through shrooms.  When i first did them and they started to kick in i didnt know what was going on then i remembered i was on shrooms, sat on a couch, relaxed and let the drug take me. any questions, feel free to e-mail me
