  1. I know of one off-hand that is quite fascinating:

    Kumar, et al. used the nerve-infecting protein of the rabies virus and attached siRNA to it. This protein-siRNA construct was taken up by nerve cells within mice and successfully silenced GFP.

    While this was just one experiment, theoretically, any siRNA could be attached to this vehicle, allowing treatments to be extremely specific and narrowly targeted towards brain tissue.
