What are signs that my hamster likes me?

A sign that your hamster likes you would be that it would trust you, not bite, not sqweal, and maybe even crawl around you.

Well, hamsters aren't the smartest animal so there is not much to describe. But, some signs might be that they come to you when they see you (sometimes) and maybe they will sleep in your hand, and they might even sit on your shoulder and stay there. Again, hamsters are not like dogs or cats. They just live.

A hamster not biting you when you handle it is a sure sign that the hamster likes you and trusts your smell. If not, you would have a bitey hamster who would give you a good bite everytime you put your hands near him.

Another sign is when the hamster identifies your voice and smell whenever you come near his cage and comes out without any fright. If he stays holed up in his nest all day long, then he is very scared of you and does not like you.

Many hamsters also are known to bond so much with their pet owners as to relax in their laps and go to sleep and that shows a really well bonded hamster.
