Ummm, not sure if I understand the question...

but some info for you that may help.

I assume you are talking about the little legged critters that have segmented back plates & sometimes roll up into a neat ball when you bug them.

They are what I have heard called detritivores, they'll generally only eat dead & decaying leaf litter and garden waste - detritus.

BUT... if their population gets large & the food supply runs out they will start eating green plant matter, particularly leafy plants and seedlings etc so they can be a pest.

They can also do odd things like get into the house and make a horrible crunchy sound when you step on them.
