  1. Small aircraft such as cessna's (150's, 172's) and Pipers (warriors) are the staple of the flight training industry. They are also used as pleasure craft for people wanting to get from point a to point b in an economical, yet fast way.

Most larger small aircraft (I define small as anything under 12,500) are used for cargo, or small charter operations.

Only dummies smuggle coke in small airplanes, they always get caught. The right way to do it is to stuff the radar dome on your 121 flights

  2. If you are looking for a fun plane as a school project you might want to look into a "BREEZY" its just a fun plane. and a good school project.

  3. --Flight training

    --pleasure flying

    --business travel

    --weather, atmospheric and climate research

    --battlefield observation and reconnaissance

    --law enforcement observation and reconnaissance

--border patrol, drug enforcement, and interstate commerce enforcement

--ski and mountain climbing safety patrol

    --power line surveillance and inspection

    --aerial photography

    --aerial advertising

--air ambulance and emergency medical transport

--emergency veterinary field delivery and evacuation

--fire patrol observation and fire fighting

    --sport parachute jumping

    --aerobatic competition

    --air racing

    --missionary delivery and supply dropping

--cattle ranch surveillance, fence patrol, and veterinary delivery

...There are more uses, but that's all I can think of right off the top of my head.  An internet search on "general aviation" will bring you more information.

By the way, the plural of "aircraft" is "aircraft."  It is not correct to write "aircrafts."

  4. It depends a bit on what you class as "small", but if you mean "light aircraft" such as those with a single engine and space in the cabin for the pilot and perhaps one passenger, then they are used for pleasure flights, charter or paying-passenger flights, owner-pilot private flights, aerial spraying of crops against pests and diseases, monitoring and control of security along the border between countries, aerial photography and, of course, to teach basic flying skills to people intending to become licenced pilots. There is a new type of small aircraft called an Unmanned Air Vehicle, or UAV, which is fitted with a camera, and/or infra-red detectors and mostly used by the military to detect and observe the presence and movement of hostile forces.

  5. Smuggling cocaine of course.

NO just kidding most people use them for pleasure just like boating or riding a motorcycle.
