What are small binoculars, like the ones people use at operas called?

They're opera glasses though I've been seeing more and more people bringing standard binoculars to the opera because they're just more comfortable to use and easier to keep track of.

Well are you sitting down, this is going to blow your mind....they are called "OPERA GLASSES!!!!".....holy c**p, I know!!!!   Go look at any sporting goods store, hunting store, or even some golfing supply stores will stock these.  These shouldn't run you anymore than $50.00.  Good luck from Canada.-Tripod.
