What are snowboard helmets made out of?

hello. i was wondering if anyone knew a good website where i could find an information about what snowboarding/ bicycle helmets are made out of and why certain materials were chosen.

inside they  contain a polystreyne shell it is that what takes and absorbs the  forces from a inpact all hemets have a shelf life look after your helmet ( that sounds well lol )

with a motorcycle crash helmet they say if been involved in a accident replace the helmet because it will contain weak spots were the  polysterene shell as been compacted

dont drop a helmet from  a height

never NEVER buy a second hand helmet  you dont know its history

always get a good fitting helmet take time and  buy from a good source who will let you try and advise and ask them questions

finally  always were a helmet and enjoy  your sport hobby etc

You might try the Snell foundation website and check their links.  A helmet is designed to act as a second skull and it should break before your skull does. This will not necessarily prevent a concussion, it will lessen the impact to your head.
