What are so hormones that help speed up growth and puberty that you don't need to prescribe??

Um, I don't think that those would be a agood idea.  Maybe he's a late bloomer.  Unless the doctor prescribes hormones people really shouldn't take them.  They aren't pills to be taken lightly.  They can do a ton of harm.  Take the kid to the doc and have the doctor see what's up with the kid.

Just wait! Guys start puberty later than girls do, besides he's only 13! It's likely he'll grow about a foot over a six month period and suddenly go from looking 8 to looking 16! You never ever want to mess with growth hormones because they may actually interrupt puberty and do a lot of damage to the body. It's great that you're concerned about your cousin but tell him to enjoy his youth while he can---and remind him that he can still order from the kids menu without weird looks from the waitress! :)
