  1. Either trying to live up to too harsh of standards (get into Harvard, be best on hockey team, etc.) or living in an environment that encourages zero motivation/lazyness.

  2. I'm homeschooled....And hate it!

    I have no friends!

    Almost no social life!

    Nothing!

    =)

I wake up in the morning....And say....

"What do I have to look forward to?"

  3. Poverty and crime.

  4. The pressure from other kids to do bad things, drugs, bullies, douches, the "need" to look pretty be skinny. Stuff like that

  5. They concerned about their weight, the kind of clothes they wear, what not to eat during lunch, my daughter lost her friend becuz she wouldn't respond back to a note that was written in class, what part of the neighborhood you live in, which boy to look at and talk too and she is only eight.  I have more that I can add, it is very ridiculous what kids have to face these days.

  6. Meanies, monsters, bullies, dummy heads, etc

  7. bullies, peer pressure, drugs, crime, sexual predators, competition...

  8. One of the main problems facing kids today is they don't understand the concept of personal responsibility.  Yes there is such a thing as peer pressure and it is tough to go against.  However, ultimately it is your decision whether to follow or not.  If your friends are doing something stupid, that does not mean you have to.  Problem solving skills are also at an all time low.  Instead of working to solve a problem, people tend to pull out a gun and solve the problem with violence.

The media does not help children grow up into to responsible adults either.  When the top news story is how Britney flashed the world her privates, how are they going to learn.  Not only does she do that c**p, she gets rewarded with attention.

Drugs, alcohol and s*x are such a huge part of our culture that its hard to get away from.  We need to teach our children to make good choices.  Not just by preaching it, but by example.

I will now step off my soap box.
