  1. "Angela's Ashes"

    Frank McCourt

    Frank McCourt's childhood and family

I just think it is a really touching story about getting through tough times.  The book centers around McCourt's life growing up in Depression-era Ireland.  It will make you cry and laugh out loud - sometimes simultaneously.

    It is a must read.

  2. -Patricia Neal: An Unquiet Life

    -Stephen Michael Shearer

    -Patricia Neal

-It tells the life story of one of America's most brilliant actresses.

  3. I thought Grace Kelly's biography was pretty cool to read. It was so interesting to learn about her personal life. She's amazing and beautiful, and I wish she was still alive today.

The book I read was called Grace: The Secret Lives of a Princess by James Spada.

  4. "Chronicles: Volume One"

    Bob Dylan

    Bob Dylan

Enlightening views on his arrival in New York in the early 1960s.

"Never Have Your Dog Stuffed" and "Things I Overheard While Talking to Myself"

    Alan Alda

    Alan Alda

Even if you haven't heard of Alan Alda, his autobiographies are so funny.  They also make you think, especially the second one, since a lot of it is graduation speeches he has given.

  5. -The Prairie Years

    -Carl Sandburg

    -Abraham Lincoln

    - I never knew so much about him. I knew he was great but I didn't know he was actually that AWESOME. It was like reading a novel. After reading it I found that I had a new favorite president.

  6. Title:    Bats, Brats, and Stats

    Author: George Brennan, Jr.

About: George Brennan, Jr. and seven friends

Interest: It is very rare to find a non-fiction book with so much humor. It is about eight kids growing up in New York City trying to establish a stickball team under terrible playing conditions and off the wall competition. The characters are so colorfully described as individuals and the author makes you feel like you part of this team as they challenge all newcomers who come their way.
