I am going to pain my parent's room and they want Nothing mixed with yellow. It has to be a light color. Sorry my mom is picky! And if it's possibly to get a picture of the color that would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  2. A soft shade of grey/blue would be very calming. There is a beautiful color by Pratt & Lambert called "pewter". Also "blue arrow" by valspar. You may be able to view these colors online. Try Lowe's website for the valspar paint. Soft shades of green can also be very soothing. Good luck!

  3. a green, like a soft, green tea green...most spas and salons like to use that color on their walls because it's soo calming and relaxing and it looks very nice...

  4. definitely a shade of green. green calms people down which is why they have that color in hospitals. good luck and i hope i helped!

  5. Any cool colors will work. Warm colors tend to be a bit intense, and have been known to have the brain react that way.

You'll see a lot of cool colors in baby's rooms. Cool colors are shades of blues or any colors related to blue, while warm colors are anything related to reds. (Think water and fire).

  6. I think a pale yellow or a sea green would be very calming. :)

  7. blue is the most relaxing color for the bedroom.  a light-medium green will also do.

  8. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think "aquacade" (# 7130) would be perfect.

You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

  9. anything pastel. especially something on the cool side of a color wheel.

    2nd http://www.aspencarpetdesigns.com/Basic_...

the first one has cool colors, but i'd stay out of the greenish yellow row if your parents don't want that.

The second has warm colors, and it's good except i wouldn't choose the red colors on the far right.
