I'm graduating college in June and I started thinking about spending a year volunteering. I don't want to get crazy specific, but I really want something that's faith-based (Christian) and residential (volunteers live together).

I looked at Nazareth Farm and it's almost perfect except the volunteers don't start at the same time. AND it's probably slightly too limited (in terms of the work done) for my tastes.

I want something where I'm living and possibly working/volunteering with 10-15 people in a NON-URBAN setting. It'd probably be something centered around rural community development, community outreach and education.

It's also really important that I be eligible for the Americorps grant thing ($4725) when I finish--I HAVE to pay my student loans. :)

Christian-based it also very important, as is the fact of it being a year-long program.

Probably won't get any replies on this, but it was worth a shot.

  1. Have you tried doing a search.Good Luck

  2. I would suggest looking into Thrive Africa, it's a Christian based campus that's growing each year.
