  1. Florida Virtual School (http://www.flvs.net/) is free for state residents, so you might check to see if your area has something similar.

I used a lot of the FREE Online Study Guides from SparkNotes (http://www.sparknotes.com/). I created an entire course on Shakespeare using their study guides and DVD's from the library.

Also, your local library may have The Teaching Company DVD sets. They have lots of high-school level subjects available.

  2. Free-ed.net has courses of study in almost any subject area for absolutely free; it is not a homeschool site, but the courses of study can be used for homeschooling/college prep/GED prep and to obtain job skills.  The link is below:

There are free "public school at home" options in some states.  Click on the links below to see if there are free virtual public schools in your state:

I hope the above information is helpful.

  3. I'm home schooled online for free. (They even send you all of your school supplies as needed!)

I'm not sure how many states have it yet, but I know Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Colorado do... www.ohdela.com.

  4. We like Hippocampus.org which has free interactive online math, science, history courses.

  5. This site is still under construction but has some helpful sites with free high school curriculum:
