  1. I wouldn't consider the US to be like Canada. But New Zealand is probably the closest. As far as getting items (I'm assuming you mean buying things) supermarkets these days and major chain stores, are almost everywhere in the western world, so you can find familiar products or something close to them, wherever you go. But the lakes, the mountains, the rivers and the forests of New Zealand are much like those of either Eastern or Western Canada. (the center of Canada is flat, prairie country, and New Zealand doesn't have much of that)

    But one thing New Zealand has that is better than anywhere else in the world is their ice cream. Fantabulous! And almost given away. It's truly the best buy anywhere.
