  1. As long as you know that the Polkadot Loaches will need a bigger tank in the future (about 115 liters), a single school of a species of Tetra, Rasbora, or smaller Barb would work well, and a Dwarf Gourami or Betta would be a nice, colorful addition.  If you want a bit more color, a pair of Dwarf Cichlids like Rams, Apistos, Kribs, Curviceps, etc. would be nice.

EDIT: Angelfish, at about 20 cm as adults, are FAR too large for a 50 liter tank.

  2. You've got bottom dwelling fish, so now you need some schooling fish. I would get about 5 Harlequin rasboras or danios. A couple hatchetfish would be good too.

  3. angelfish, barbs, cory cats, zebra danios, dwarf gouramis, platies. algae eaters, red sword tails, and many tetras are all great and peaceful fish that can live in harmony with your loaches but personally i would choose either the sword tails or the dwarf gouramis as these are exceptionally beautiful fish. hope this helps.

  4. going under the heat / sun...
