  1. It depends on what you are looking for....if you want the excitement of a big city you should try Paris, Lyon and Lille.

If you want to go to the beach try Montpellier, Marseille or Bordeaux.

If you want to get an in depth look at the real French traditions and culture try the south of France, they are known for their warmth. If you'd like to see the German influence try Metz and Strasboug

  2. paris only

  3. Loire, about 90kms from Paris. it has lots of enchanting chateaus ---chambord, blois, chenonceux, etc., south of France, try Nevers (to see the church where St. Bernadette's incorrupt body lies), Burgundy (a wine town), Lourdes (for the spiritual lift), Nice (for the fancy, high lifestyle of the rich and famous. Up north in Calais (I think) you can visit Mont St. Michel.

  4. strasbourge

  5. Lyon

It is an old Roman city.

There are Gallo Roman theatres etc...

There is "Light Day" every 8th December. and they make interesting light shows everywhere.

It was a very old spiritual city.

They have their own cuisine and Cote du Rhone wine.

It is small, but kind of interesting.

  6. There is lots of interesting cities in France.

Paris for sure is (in my opinion) the beautifulest french city.

But you may visit Strasbourg for is German influences

Or The south of france with lots of Roman relic like in Lyon, Oranges, Nimes

Or Carcassone it's a very big medieval city

    ... so many city

If you want to know what is a concrete city come to Grenoble (I live in Grenoble) but if you like skiing or do some outdoor activites this is the best place (maybe you ask only for some monuments)
