My boyfriend is from India, and he wants to give our child an indian names. We do not know the s*x. Please list some very modern sounding indian names that you think sound a little americanized. Parvati and Padma are Indian, and they are used in the Harry Potter books. Uma Karuna is Uma Thurmans name and it is Indian. Her daughters name is Maya. Indira or Indra are lovely names.I also really like:Chandra
