  1. baby sitting, raking leaves, mowing lawns, picking apples, weeding their garden, watering lawns while homeowners are on vacation, pet sitting, dog walking, delivering newspapers....

  2. It might be better to concentrate on 'what you can do' and on 'what does your community need' than on 'what can make money'.

Money is just a way for people to exchange value.

Look around your community and  find some way you can contribute value.  You have some available time during your holidays period, that time belongs to you.

Give some of your time to making your community a better place and don't worry about money coming in.

If you give value to your community, your community will find a way to reward you.

When you are 16, or whenever you are looking for a 'good job'... or are needing help from your community in supporting your business idea -- who do you think the community will support?

Will they employ or help the horde of kids who have been doing odd jobs for pocket change...? or Will they choose the bright young pillar of the community that has been making their mark by giving the wealth of their time and service to the community?

Whatever you do, it is your investment, of your time, creating your future.  Start now to give your reputation a solid foundation.

The world is moving toward a reputation economy -- in an information age your reputation (the information that can be found about you) is one of your greatest assets.

Your colleagues and community contacts are another asset.

Cultivate your reputation and build a network of people who are adding value to their community.

You will never regret investing time in yourself and your future.

    The money will come.

  3. Mow lawns, see if a neighbor needs garden help, deliver newspapers, babysit.  Good luck!
