What are some LEGITEMATE jobs I can work from home

Question

I live in BFE, drive a gas pig, and am looking into working "from" home.

I AM NOT INTERESTED IN "PYRAMID" WORK FROM HOME...THINGS! NO PESTERING PEOPLE TO "SIGN UP" OR PESTERING AT ALL!!

I am currently the Office/Credit Manager at a tire shop. I took the Administrative Assistant program at the Technical School. I love office work. I was looking into being a Medical Transcriptionist since it pays well and SOME places allow you to work from home, just stopping in a couple times a week. However, as technology advances, the demand is dwindling and I don't want to spend $400 on the Medical Terminology class if it doesn't do me any good.

Suggestions?

uhmm, maybe a job like Avon is pretty sweet, so is Home Interiors, my mother did Home Interiors for YEARS and she got perks like cruises or trips and such.

would you be interested in writing?

You could setup a blog or website, this is completely free.  Once you have added some good content, you can start to earn money from advertising.  I know you wont make a huge income from this, but it would get you started working from home.  

Pick a topic which you are very interested in, and write a piece on that everyday.

I've given step by step instructions on how to create a website for free, and then add adverts to it so you can start generating income.

I was also thinking about taking classes to be a medical transcriptionist or medical coding, do you really think the demand is dwindling?

I can't believe that you just went on the internet and actually tried to ask for "work from home" advice.  Did you expect any real feedback or were you interested in getting as MUCH spam as possible!!??

Anyway, if you can find a good doctor or group of doctors to work with medical transcription is a decent way to make a buck or two.  Either that or show some skin on an adult website (not trying to be dirty, just realistic).  Other than that...freelance writer is the only thing I can think of.

I've been doing some work with www.elance.com the past week, all the work is home based, data entry, transcription etc. The only thing is you're competing against people from countries where the hourly rate of pay is a lot lower, so not sure if it would be worth it for you.

Its been updated today to include some Craft type jobs which can be done from home, mainly re-distribution, but it possible to make good money from it if you work hard.

So many online jobs are out there. In fact, to do any online job, you need not want to invest anything. Make sure, you dont pay anything to get jobs online.
