Catch, Frisbee, charades, instead of acting out-do a form of charades by drawing the name of a friends or celebrity from a hat and then you have to tell everyone what movie you wre in, what songs you sing or what sports you are into.

Rread, picnic (each person brings a dish to serve everyone else.)  Sandcastle competition, beach cleanup, trivia, 20 questions, Bingo, Tic-Tac-Toe, Checkers, Poker, Go Fish, collect shells, rocks, colour, use clay to design shapes for your friends to guess what they are, blow bubbles, have a theme day like crazy hair at the beach or crazy beach outfit...

Having a few games is good for keeping the guys entertained, they get antsy easy.  Girls are usually just fine tanning or reading.

  The classics always work, and you can get cheap variations:

Frisbee

Horseshoes

Cornhole  aka:  Bags, bean bag toss

Blongo Ball  aka:  ladder golf, kentucky horshoes

Bocce ball

Football, tennis ball, soccer ball, or volleyball

  With a couple of those and a cheap boogie board for the water you are set!  Have fun!
