What are some activities to do in and around Manual Antonio Park in Costa Rica?

PS: I read that the beach is in the park. Does that mean you have to pay admission to use the beach? Thanks again!

Manual Antonio has a public beach and a pay beach that is inside the park.  The beach inside the park is very nice and not commercialized.  It is pretty cool to drive to the end of the public beach and then park and walk through a short trail in the woods to the park beach.  There are quite a few monkeys to watch as well.  The admission to the park beach is pretty cheap.  Maybe $15.  Here are some pics I took of the beach.

there are three beaches in Manuel Antonio, you don´t ahve to pay for the first one, but to get to the second and third one you have to go through the park unless you take a boat ride.

The park admission is cheap and you will see monkeys and a variety of animal life aliong the trails.

The road from Quepos to Manuel Antonio is a trail of hotels, bars, restaurants and shops.

It is also avery nice place to visit while in Costa Rica.

The Manuel Antonio beach is private, is inside the park so there is a fee, around $10, there are also a number of tours around the park with english speaking tour guides. They will give you refreshments and explain in better detail everything there is to be seen.

You can always ry it on your own, but I´ve been there several times and I got more of it on a tour than on my own.

Also try searching online for "Mauel Antonio Tours", you´ll get a number of companies with the activities you can do there.

Even if you don´t want to use them they´ll give you a pretty good idea of what you can do
