What are some advantages and disadvantages of having a mac operating system?

i am having a bit of trouble finding out details on mac operating systems and need to know for an assignment ASAP.

The main features are: most software is specifically designed for mac so they work flawlessly together, they never crash like windows, and they have great security which means NO viruses.

The only disadvantages of having a Mac would be if you are a hard core gamer that prefers to build your own hardware. Aside from that there are no disadvantages.

The main advantages of a Mac are that it is a system that is designed to be much easier and more intuitive to use and more stable.

There is no shortage of apps and most of the best apps are written for Mac OS X.

Macs are best suited to design and engineering, music and video production as well as most general stuff that you do on a computer everyday.

Some PC owners do complain about Mac users being "snobbish"...that is probably because the hardware designers at Apple actually care about the way a Mac looks and performs which is why we Mac users like using our Macs,  where as Steve Ballmer only cares about  "his company" and "developers, developers, developers" rather than the end user which means that 90% of PC users treat their PCs as "just a box and some hardware" with a crappy OS (unless they are running Linux)

Far fewer programs available, but better high end programs for professionals (photo, audio, video, graphics)

Like owning a Toyota everything costs more.

It's hardly ever infected with virus or malware because hackers don't mess with them (because there are so few Macs)

It turns you into a computer snob. At first you'll just mention it to friends but before you know it all you do all day is wander from message board to message board, never eating or sleeping, to tell all Windows users how stupid they are and how Macs rule.
