  1. Just go with board books for now. Familiar shapes and objects. You're just trying to get her interested in books at this point. My girl would not let us get through actually reading a book at that age. Get ones that have one or just a few words at the bottom that go with the picture. A storyline will be lost on her for a while to come.

Plus, she will be able to "predict" and recognize in the books I'm describing. That's what you're going for right now.

  2. There are so many great books out there! If you are just beginning to read with her, be sure you make it enjoyable -- read whatever she wants you to read. Read the same book(s) over and over if that's what she wants. Just go to your local library or bookstore and find what appeals to you or her. There's no reason to limit the books you read to her -- some kids can sit for a long time even at her age and listen to whole stories. Others do better with just a few words on each page. Dr Seuss is great! His nonsense and rhyming words are fun for kids. "Goodnight Moon" is a classic that's great. Books about animal sounds are good, or ones with pictures of things your baby is familiar with. Just read to your child and she will begin to love listening. If she is distracted, that's ok too. Don't "insist" that she actively listen -- just read to her and allow her to hear it. She will soon pay more attention to it. Good lcuk!

  3. i don't have any specific ones put my kids really like ones that had things for them to do. like the fabric ones that have the buttons, shoe laces, snaps, velcro, shapes and different textures or sounds.  i have a fabric book that has button flowers, snap balloons, lace and tie the shoe, velcro the right colour to the right shape and all the pages have bright colors and different textures. and then it all zips up shut. it is really cool i found it at a craft fair , some one made it.

  4. books about ABCs, numbers, shapes.

  5. You can try with the same that helped me the Alphabet and Counting Set Sticker Books is a great educational material for child activity and have a lot of hour of fun. Each amazing activity books contains 24 pages with stickers, friendly character and much more fun and educational material. I recommended use this link http://www.1888toys.com/index.asp?PageAc...

  6. There was a picture book called Animals and my niece who is almost two loved that book simply because when you show the child the pictures you make the sound of the animal to help keep their attention and by doing that her grandmother taught her how to say the animals, she would say bee and then make the buzz sound to the point that my neice would say bee when seeing the picture.

  7. My daughter loves the books, Is your mama a llama..Not sure who by, and another called llama llama red pajama..I think its by anne dewdney..Good luck=)
