  1. It really depends on which air company you choose to take.

( luggage below deck is called checked baggage)

For example, in Air Canada, it's 23 cm x 40 cm x 55 cm(wheels and handles are included) and 10 kg for a carry-on article.

Go to the website of your air company and you may find the informations there.

  2. Pack all your small (3-oz.) containers of liquids, gels, and aerosols inside a clear zip-top bag that can be pulled out of your carry-on during airport screening.

H+L+W=no more than 54 inches= no more than 44 pounds

    carry on:

H+L+W= no more than 39 inches

and no more than 11 pounds

  3. is very confused cause some airlines has own policy allowance

Travel within the 50 United States and between the 50 United States, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Canada Checked baggage weighing over 50 lbs/23 kgs but not more than 70 lbs/32 kgs will be charged at the rate of $50 per piece.

Checked baggage weighing over 70lbs/32 kgs but not more than 100 lbs/45 kgs will be charged at the rate of $100 per piece.

Carry-on baggage restrictions for flights from/within the U.S. and European Union

    --------------------------------------...

    United Airlines

Liquids, gels and/or aerosols are permitted through security checkpoints. Items must fit in one clear, re-sealable quart or liter-sized plastic bag, in containers of 3 oz/100ml or less. In the European Union, items must fit in one clear, re-sealable liter-sized plastic bag, in containers of 100 ml/ 3 oz or less.

  4. The other luggage are the bags you check in. It really depends on the airlines, but the max weight for almost all are 50 pounds. You can have up to 2 bags that you check in that go below deck.  Along with this, you can have one carry on and a personal item.

There's no weight limit for the carry ons- which is weird, but whatever.

Anyway, as for the toiletries, you can have only 3oz bottles (and they have to be in zip-lock bags) in your carry on. In your check in bags, there's no 3oz limit. you can have the full size bottles of shampoo, lotion, or whatever it may be.

  5. There are two types:

    Carry On

    3 oz liquid restriction

    Must fit in over head

    Checked

Liquids of any size ok (no flammables)

    No size limit

50 lb weight limit, you pay if more

Some airlines are charging 15 bucks per piece of checked

No loose rechargable lithium ion batteries

    Good Luck!  :-)

  6. The one that you check, is the one the you give at the ticket counter and normally it is 62 inch and 50 pounds. Depending on the airlines. No the 3oz bottles, does not apply to your checked luggage. You can put anything in your checked luggage except for gun powder.
