Question:

What are some alternative cruises for a young couple (early 20s) that are not the huge Carnival style cruise?

My fiance and I want a smaller style ship cruise that would have people at least close to our age (i.e. not strictly retired people) and that has a good rep. This would be for a honeymoon, so the more romantic the better. Thanks much.

  1. My husband and I took Royal Carribean and they were exceptionally good to us.  (gave us free shirts, brought a cake out for us on our wedding day, and marched us down the grand staircase during dinner with everyone clapping.)  There were many young people there.   We had the time our our lives.  When we arrived to enter the ship and I told they guy I was getting married he let me and my husband into the club room ahead of everyone waiting in line (the club room is for members only which we weren't)  We really, had a romantic time.  Whatever you choose, I wish you the best of luck!

  2. Well there are some. If you want it to be romantic, yet cheap. i sya princess, celebrity, or hollandamerican. Princess is your best bet. Get a nice balcony room. You can order room service and have romantic dinners out there. They still have the Carnival style fun, but it is a little more secluded. If you are willing to spend the money, try The Yachts of Seabourn. Most romantic cruise you will ever go on. 200 guests. Luxarious dinners, and some very innovative boats. Check out all the websites for info. Also you will have a great time on Carnival if you go on that. The cruise is what you make it, and i love carnival. It is for everyone not just 20'somethings. They have adult only pools, beautiful spas, and for an extra $20 you can get a dinner worth $400 on land. Have fun, good luck, i hope you find something.
