  1. They mostly ate Mongolian BBQ, and Mongolian beef.

  2. Just go to Genghis Grill and see what they have.

  3. I will not say Mongolian barbecue as my answer. It is only invented by Taiwanese and Mongolian rarely eat beef or they don't eat meat. they eat horses, cattle, yaks, camels, sheep, and goats. Buuz is a popular cuisine in ancient Mongolia. this are dumpling which are filled with meat that i fist mentioned. the real Mongolian barbecue called horhog (Xopxoг) or khorkhog using sheep meat or goat for substitute. It is something of a specialty dish that is offered to honored guests. huushuur (Хуушууp) or meat dumpling deep fried in mutton fat.they also have Mongolian yogurt from mare's milk, this is not sweet.it takes a long time to make cause they temperature is very low. but due to low temperature. it has also long shelf life. cause it is very cold in Mongolia, (-40°C) they love hot pot cuisines. Chinese cuisine has a very big influence in there cuisine. and because Genghis Khan is the emperor of Mongol dynasty, they also prepare man han quan xi for him. this man han quan xi can only enjoy by emperor.

  4. Lamb, goats, hmmm horse ?  Dog? ancient wheat / rice/ millet/ grain/ types I suppose in general. Probably some birds, deer, wild greens, etc.. & I don't know if they liked the foods of the people that they raided maybe some agricultural items gotten on the sly?????...perhaps some type of bread and probably a lot of kefir. Maybe some cheese or yogurt was cultured as well as they were carrying their horse milk around with them in their bags with some intestine linings remaining in the uncured leather so that rennet was mixed with the dairy and became something yummy maybe even a close relative of dare I say it cheese???????????????????If they were really hungry and didn't have any food perhaps they pierced their horse jugular veins and drank blood and then plugged them back up like the modern Masai do or those ones I've seen in those mockumentarys who pretend to not be wearing the coke a cola tshirts??????
