  1. Simple sketches in one or two colors that cover whole walls (just a few walls) and are drawn directly on the wall. Looks great, especially in black. You don't plan on getting your deposit back anyway, do you?

I said drawn. It is better to use an artist's brush and paint.

  2. you could make cushions, fabric dogs, fabric swan, coasters using fudge sticks, fudge stick lamp and shade, do your own painting for example a under water scenery etc

  3. You can buy different size frames, paint them and make and just use the frame and make some type of design.

You can also make your own pictures in frames using fake flowers, stamp them use ribbon, buttons ect. I have things like this all over my house.

buy your own canvas and paint it..even if you just take your favorite colors and smear them on..

You can get wood letters and decorate them with ribbon, flowers ect.. spell home, love, family ect...

email mail me if you need more ideas, I can take pictures of things I've made and email them to you if you want.

  4. look at the next sites to find what interest you and what not.  The possibilities are endless. Take your time to experiment and try. Do not expect that everything you make becomes an instant pearl. Give yourself time to develop your taste . Go to the library and look in magazines about decorating your home and  make notes what you absolutely dislike / like  more or less /  like very much.

with this you can start exploring your likes and dislikes. not enough try  "wall art" in your browser

  5. An inexpensive way to make art for your walls is with fabric.  You can s***w together a wooden frame either by using canvass stretchers (glue the corners) or 1 x 1 pieces of wood.  You can then stretch a fabric over that and staple it to the back.  You can also attach a piece of light plywood or MDF to the frame, upholster that and then attach a picture hanger to the center to make an already framed photo or picture seem more important and take up more space on the wall.

You can also purchase already made canvass attached to a frame (Big Lots has the cheapest ones) and make a collage by decoupaging items to the canvass.  You can make a scrapbook of a trip by attaching museum tickets, postcards, and other momentos to fill the canvass.

Think out of the box, too.  I have a collection of Japanese and Chinese silk kimonos and jackets hanging on drapery rods on a 2 storey wall in my living room.  Maybe you have something that normally isn't hung on a wall, a collection perhaps, that would be a unique and dynamic displaly.
