I was thinking of joining the air force, I just want to know some athletic jobs in the military(especially air force). I like a lot of sports(basketball, football, track). So what athletic jobs do they offer.

  1. The closest you will get is a physical therapist.  They don't have jobs like athletic trainer, since all PT is done by the local leadership.

  2. Anything special forces is the most athletic you can get. Marines get theirs in plus some, so does army. Navy and air force you've got very, very little options, pretty much none in an athletic department.

  3. Jamal,

The Air Force actually has very few. But you might try pararescue, forward combat controler, and survival trainer.

Also, the loaders on the AC-130 stay in good shape, but I can't recall what the AFSC is called.

    "Ranger"

  4. Unless sitting at a desk is considered athletic then I don't think you will find one in the Air Force.  If you want athletic then go CCT, PJ, or Security Forces.

  5. If you are serious about a physical job stop looking at air force. they have alot of jobs that require smart people but not strong people. they army gives alot of opportunities to teach a very physical job. i would reccomend asking your recruter about becoming an instructor for air assault but you have to be in REALLY GOOD SHAPE. because you have to be able to push people to the limit but also not wear yourself down so you can show them it is possible to get to that point. I was in the army for a long time and i have alot of respect for the instructors at air assault school. Good luck, and thank you for considering the military, if you do it than you have my thanks and respect. good man.

  6. Air Force? NONE!! If you want exercise join the MARINES!!
