What are some average varsity swimming times for girls?

100yard brest ~ 1:17

50free ~ 26:00

all I can think of now.

These numbers are in the ballpark, some are faster and some are slower, but you should check with your coach and see what times you need to push for.

At my school, I think you need to make states to be varsity (and state qualifying times differ from state to state); my town has really good swimmers from the local YMCA. However, I know, in a neighboring town (which has a mediocre high school girls' team), all you have to do to make varsity is have a 50 free time under 30 seconds.
