I love romantic animes... been obsessed with it ever since i started watching animes...not that i dont like death note or any of the kind... anyway, the animes that brought tears to my eyes are:

LOVELY COMPLEX - how fun is it to see that Risa was able to make Otani love her because of her self? It made my stomach hurt from laughing & crying too much because of them. I love this one

FUSHIGI YUUGI - romance served hot...(im not talking about it being ecchi or anything)...love being able to overcome anything from being a "fictional" character in a book. The ending of the anime made me cry, but the OVA's made my tears flow the most...talking about love *sigh*

TSUBASA CHRONICLE - it might not made me cry from happiness, but the sheer beauty of loving someone & risking everything-even if its the memories that you share with the one that you love-made me realize how lucky a person is if they found true love.

CARDCAPTOR is also a good one too...made me teary eyed..

uhmmm...currently..these are the only ones that i can remember...

Believe it or not, Naruto made me cry 3 times! I won't mention when but it was good. Love Hina is a good choice, Ai Yori Aoshi is very good when it comes to romance. Please Teacher made me cry too! Great ending!

Eureka Seven made me cry, very passionate about this title...

Marmalade Boy is a witty romance that is here to stay

Air is one of the saddest romances, but a good story in and out!

Shuffle! is a coin, one side is Love Hina-ish humor, and the other is psychological, intense, loving romance! Very good ending!

Koi Kaze is a romance that will make you uncomfortable... but when you finish it, tears are all you will get.

BECK and Buso Renkin have themes of romance but aren't dealt with until the end of the series.

Personally, I'd watch Eureka Seven, Koi Kaze, and Marmalade Boy first.

After this, I am going to list those animes and some more (they all will have a rating and a review).

I love romantic anime. All of the following are romantic animes. The ones with the most *'s are the best. I put them in order from the least amount of *’s to the most.

***Tokyo Mew Mew***

This series is about a girl who has her DNA infused with a cat. This anime is about her love, her friends, and how she has to protect Earth.

There are 52 episodes.

***Zero no Tsukaima***

This anime is set in a world of magic.  Each magician calls a pet to themself.  These pets are called familiars.  Louise, the main girl, calls her pet and it turns out to be a human boy.  This anime is about their adventures trying to get him home and how they fall in love.  There are 3 seasons.

There are 13 episodes.

***Ultra Maniac***

This is about a girl who uses magic and her good friend. It is about the girl trying to win this competition to be the wife of this magic prince. The girl is really in love with this boy from her school. It is also about her best friend being in love with this other guy.

There are 26 episodes.

*** Crescent Love***

This anime is about a princess from the moon going to Earth to help make peace.  The story revolves around her falling in love with a boy from Earth, and their struggle to make peace and be together.

There are 12 episodes.

*** Elemental Gelade***

A boy who works on a flying ship meets a girl who can turn into a weapon.  They encounter many enemies who want to use her, and they fall in love.  They make new friends on their journey to a place called Edel Garden.

There are 26 episodes.

*** Romeo and Juliet***

This anime of course is the story of Romeo and Juliet told a little differently.  Romeo’s father rules Neo Verona which is like a floating island in the sky.  Juliet was like a masked hero who stood up for the good, but she eventually had to give that up.  Juliet wears a wig to hide her long hair.  She has to pretend to be a boy because people would find out who she is if she didn’t.  Her parents were killed by Romeo’s deranged father.  There love is very sweet throughout the anime.  Sadly I have not seen the ending – I can’t wait.  It might be a sad one though….I hope not

This is about a girl who is adopted into this family and she is in love with her brother.

***Kamisama Kazoku***

This anime is about god’s son named Samatarou. There is a girl who is an angel that is always with him and she loves him but he likes a new popular girl at school. Samatarou’s mother is Venus and his sisters are both goddess candidates.

There are 13 episodes.

***Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne***

This one is about a high school girl who is a thief that steals art usually because it is made/possessed by a spirit of the devil aka demon. It is about how she meets another thief and falls in love with him.

There are 44 episodes.

***DN Angel***

This is about a boy who has a famous thief named Dark who is basically appart of him. Whenever the boy looks into a picture of a certain girl he transforms into Dark. Dark steals art work to seal away evil things inside it. This anime is also about the main boy being in love with this girl.

There are 26 episodes.

***Nodame Cantabile***

This story is about two college students who play the piano and live next door. It is very funny (especially the girl) and there is some romance (not much).

***Gakuen Alice***

This is an anime that is about a girl and her best friend at first. This girl named Mikan finds out her best friend is leaving school. Basically, Mikan follows her friend by going to her new school. This school takes in children with special abilities which they call Alices. Only children with Alices can attend, but the school allows Mikan to attend. This anime is about Mikan and her adventures once she enters the school. This anime reminded me a lot of Kodocha (kids who are in love). Nothing romantic actually happens (no kissing, but in the manga they do kiss). If you watch all this anime and you want to know more, I would recommend reading the manga (which is ongoing).

****Peach Girl****

This is a series I really liked. It is about a love triangle mainly between the main girl and two guys. The main girl named Momo has tan skin and bleached hair because she used to swim a lot. Since she has these features, people think she is promiscuous. One guy plays baseball and the Momo has liked him since junior high. The other guy was saved from drowning by Momo. Her best friend (not) named Sae is evil. Sae tries to mess up everything Momo has (especially her relationships).

There are 25 episodes.

****Hana Yori Dango****

The story revolves around Tsukushi Makino who is a poor girl going to a rich school because her parents want her to marry a rich boy. She wants time to fly by because everyone at the school is snobbish. She likes to stand up against people who do bad things, but she has stayed quiet most of the year. She encounters the F4, a group of rich boys who basically own the school. She stands up to them and they "declare war" on her by putting a red tag in her locker. She is in love with one of the boys in the F4. The leader of the F4 falls in love with her while she loves the other guy in the F4. The anime is about her struggles, relationships, and events that happened to the guys in the F4. Eventually she figures out her true feelings, even though it takes her a while. She changes two of the guys in the F4 into better people. I love this anime. It is a comedy, drama, romance, and slice of life.

*****Marmalade Boy*****

This anime is about a boy and girl whose parents switch (her dad marries his mom while his mom marries her dad). All of them start living under the same roof. This anime is all about how the boy and girl fall in love (there are also many love triangles that try to separate them).

There are 76 episodes.

*****Kodocha*****(I like this one a lot but it is about two kids)

This anime is about a energetic girl who is a famous child actress. It is about how she stands up to this boy in her class, helps him fix some issues he has, and how she falls in love with him. Her mother is very funny. This was one of the first anime I saw and it is one of my favorites.

There are 102 episodes.

*****Fushigi Yugi*****

This anime is about a girl named Miaka who opens a book with her friend and they are teleported into the book. Miaka falls in love with a boy in the book and the story is all about her trying to summon Suzaku so she can make three wishes. To summon Suzaku she must find all seven celestial warriors. Her friend Yui eventually leaves then comes back to the world in the book and she develops a hatred for Miaka. This series is very romantic.

There are 52 episodes.
