My goal is to move out of my mom and dad's house in 7 months. I want to start saving for all the furniture and other items I'll need (nobody has anything free to give me) What are the essentials for a first time apartment? I already know about, bedroom set, living room furniture, kitchen table and chairs, cooking appliences and bathroom items (i.e. towels, rugs and shower curtins). Am I missing anything? And do you think putting away $1,000 a month would be a reasonale if I plan to move out in 7 months? Does anybody know where I can get cheap but stylish furnitre? Sorry for all the questions.

  1. Cheap but sylish funature go to Target, they have great stuff and its pretty cheap. Putting away $1,ooo a month is a great idea. =] Um, I think you pretty much covered the basics. Make sure you get cleaning supplies and things for your appartment as well. But other than that I think your good Good luck!

  2. you defenitely going to need curtains, kitchen esentials but you can also just buy the things you know you will need and after you move in you can decide what else you need. that's what i'm doing when i move in. so might might want to wait and see what you will need. go to big lots they have a lot of nice stuff for a really good price, that's where i'm getting my sofa =).

  3. you should make it your own ad a family picture or a chair that is comfy and cute little things that you enjoy!! i would that money may be right but if you have extra time you could earn easy cash someway just to be prepared....maybe ask your parents for a little support
