    In time you'll learn which openings suits you best. In my case I love to open with d2-d4 or e2-e4. In the first case that is in most often answered by the black player with d7-d5 and in the second case with e7-e5. The idea is then to bring your knight(s) in play, followed by your bishop(s). In all cases you must make sure that your king is safe. You bring him in safety by castling, which consists of moving the king two squares towards a rook, then moving the rook onto the square over which the king crossed.
