Question:

What are some beautiful shade trees that I can plant near the pool?

I'm looking for shade and a tree that the roots won't eventually ruin my pool by lifting up surrounding cement. Also I know leaves fall but is there a tree that sheds a little less? I'm in warm climate if that helps!

While I'm at it, What are some good trees that will get really big and beautiful for the parkway in front of the house?

Thanks!

  1. ash.  tulip poplar

  2. Palm trees are probably the best. We have them down by the pool and they seldom drop anything much around or in the pool.

  3. .....acacia.

  4. Sequoia or redwood trees

  5. All trees shed. What you see on the surface means the roots are usually as deep underneath. Trees look for water, so my recommendation would be to not plant one near the pool. Have fun planting in front!

  6. Japanese Zelkova 'Green Vase' for stunning trees out front....
