  1. Hey. Hmm, well, it looks like your trying to streetdance? I'm not sure but it doesn't seem like bboying.  Also, Bboying is the correct terminology, not breakdancing.

Since I'm a bboy, I can only provide you with what I know as a bboy.

First, you have to get a solid foundation, which will be your toprock and footwork.

Toprock:  This is the part of bboying where you dance standing up.

    Your basic toprock moves are:

Indian step Front and Back (sometimes referred to as the crossover)

    Latin Rock

    Charlie Rock

*important* ~ Make sure you hit the beat on your toprocks!

Footwork:  This part is where you are on the ground

    Basic Footwork:

    1 step

    2 step

    3 step

    6 step

*Most of the time, your hand(s) will be supporting you, so your wrist will hurt in the begin to hurt.  Don't worry as you will get used to it.

Next come your freezes.  In your video, I saw that you were trying a Nike?

Freeze: This part, of course, is where you freeze or stop your body.

    Basic freezes: (learn in order)

    Turtle Freeze

    Baby Freeze

    Chair Freeze

*Freezes require more balance than strength.

Those are what I consider the basics.  Just don't bother yourself with powermoves for now.

Now remember, learn your basics and take your time.  You also need to have immense dedication if you really want to become a bboy/bgirl.

Now go young grasshopper, start your rigorous training.
