try the illuminatus trilogy by robert anton wilson  it will change the way you think.  also anything by kurt vonnegut

try some Kurt Von, House of Leaves, all J.D. Salinger, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Less Than Zero and other Bret Easton Ellis, We by Zamyatin, Notes From Underground, A Clockwork Orange, Trainspotting, Ham on Rye and other Bukowski, Requiem for a Dream, Naked Lunch (intensely nasty book), Filth, etc etc
