What are some businesses that hire at 14?

Most won't. Period.  And I think it's illegal if they do.

I don't know any that would hire a 14 year old, but if you get a work permit from your school, that would definitely help. I would also try any farm markets by you or ice cream shops. =]

sorry, i know you want to make your own money, but you're too young. Mickey d's hire at 16! Try asking your neighbors if you can help them out, for some extra change.Try baby sitting, lemonade stand, sell ice cold bottled waters, sell your useless items, your trash can become some1's treasure!!!

Mostly fast food restaurants. Other times there are programs within schools where you can get working papers and find a job through that system. Those jobs allow you to make money between $100-$250 a week. I would go to your guidance counselor when school starts again and ask them exactly how the process works. It all depends on where you live, and how your school works, really.

Some states let you work at 14.  Call your city hall.  I worked at 14 at a golf course.  I had to get a work permit from the city.  I had to take my birth certificate.  I worked all summer at the course. Get to work.

If not, find an elderly person in your neighborhood who will hire you to check on them once a day.  We paid a person $250 a month to stop by once a day just to say hi.  No work. When we needed someone to check if there was food in the frig, we paid more.  Would you do that.  It really helped our family. /
