  1. Swimming is a wonderful form of exercise which is easy on the feet, although because it is no-impact, it will not build/maintain your bones the same way that plain old walking will.  Somehow, the body knows when there's an impact, even if it is just plain low-cardio walking, and this stimulates the function that causes you to build or maintain bone mass, which is important the older you get, or if you are otherwise at risk for osteoporosis.   I walk at a really fast clip, and am able to get my heart rate up very quickly, thanks to living in a hilly area, so I'm able to get a regular cardio workout with very low impact, but enough impact to keep my bones healthy.  You might also consider low-impact aerobics and do what feels right for you.  Another possibility would be a cross-country skiing or one of those Nordic Track things, which involves your upper body as well as lower body, without pounding your feet to pulp.

There are so many other ways to get your heart rate up without having your feet take a beating--bicycling is one that comes to mind.

It's good that you are not letting your flat feet limit your activity, because regular cardio exercise is good for you in so many ways--not only good heart health, but a sense of well-being, and the experts even think it may help to prevent Alzheimer's to name but one other thing..  Good on ya!
