I'm thinking about going to a school to become a esthetician. I just don't know if they get paid enough! I think it would be hard to find a job as a esthetician! what are some other 1 - 2 year degrees or a career that does not require attending college? that also pay decent?

  1. There are quite a few jobs which don't require a college degree, but you should seriously consider getting a college degree. There is lots of statistical evidence to show that college graduates earn considerably more than non-graduates, and live longer and healthier lives. Additionally, attending college will also enrich your personality in other ways.

Of course, right now you may not that have the time, money or inclination to attend college, but do make a real effort to get a college degree at some point in your life.

    Good luck!

  2. no pain, no gain kid.  you can be a hair stylist or a manicurist.  but those jobs have very low social status.  you may think the money is ok in the beginning, but after a while when you're burnt out, you'll realize how low paying the job is and will hate life.  it's best to go to college.  it will pay off in the long run.

  3. massage therapy and certified nurse assistant are what i think of on the top of my head...
