  1. Teaching or researching.

  2. There is a massive shortage of anthropologists in the mining industry in (western) australia. Every square km of land mined, cleared and disturbed has to be surveyed and recorded and whilst there are heaps of archeologists running around recording huge volumes of sites, the stories associated to these sites are fast dissappearing as there are not nearly enough anthro's to research the stories behind these areas. In addition to this, there is an even bigger problem with the loss of information with an aging population of elders who have all the stories in their heads... Need more anthro urgently!

As far as I am aware aswell, the pay isn't half bad either - figures of $1000/day are not uncommon!

  3. Sorry, I dunno.

But what you might do is first go to some athropology pages of university websites and see what they have to say.

Also, you could do some searches on job sites to see what jobs ask for antro degrees.

  4. Most likely is teaching high school if you get a hard science dual major, e.g. bio/chem/physics, NOT social science.

  5. very limited mainly teaching but i love it

  6. That is a great major!

My friend is majoring in anthropology and she is going to pursue being an attorney.  Or, you can simply be an anthropologist, although it is not as lucrative as an attorney.
