What are some changes a company can have to better itself/enviroment?

All kinds of things-- If they have a building they can make it more energy efficient in the usual ways by using efficient light bulbs, insulating the building properly, and encouraging the employees to live more greenly.  If you have a lot of employees you can take donations that buy energy star light bulbs and appliances for the less fortunate in the community (if you're looking for publicity).

My call center recently went 'paperless' by putting large secure bins everywhere where all paper is dropped and collected, and taken to a recycling facility nearby on a weekly basis.

Well recycling paper is really easy. Volunteering for something such as highway trash pick up helps the environment and makes the business a part of the community.

Building a green building is a great way to start things off.  A building that does not contribute more pollution but instead reuses its water, waste, and has a low impact on the environment.  Obviously, recycling as much as possible.  Contributing to global species protection funds also helps.
