What are some characteristics of turtles?

I'm trying to compile some ideas about what they're like.... I know they're cold-blooded but... what else?

Vegetarian?

All turtles are not vegetarians. So that's out. They are reptiles. Have shells. Have long life-spans. All that said, why don't you just google it? You'll have a huge list in minutes and won't have to deal with the jokers around here.
